Is 'The Return of the Prodigal Son' Our Story Too?
Henri Nouwen said the favorite of his 40 books was The Return of the Prodigal Son: A Story of Homecoming. In it the internationally renown priest, pastor, professor, and writer meditates on the famous Rembrandt painting of the same name, and examines what Jesus's beloved parable from Luke 15 teaches us about our relationship with our Heavenly Father.
The Anselm Society Book Club is reading Return of the Prodigal for a few meetings. Our next meeting will be at 6:30 pm, Saturday, March 19, 2022, in which we will discuss the section, "The Elder Son." All are welcome, but space is limited.
We will be meeting in a new location near downtown Colorado Springs. Please RSVP to anita@anselmsociety.org, and someone will contact you with directions. Bringing a snack to share would be lovely.
We hope you will join us for what may be a multi-month exploration of this deep and inspiring book!
The Henri Nouwen Society offers a free study guide for The Return of the Prodigal Son.
