Continuing an Anselm Society tradition, we'll gather a couple dozen people to enjoy reading Shakespeare's As You Like It together — a comedy of mistaken identity, banished dukes, and love found in the forest.
No rehearsal or memorization required. Come ready to enjoy Shakespeare together, whether you're an experienced thespian or want to try a bit part. Scripts provided.
This year we'll also give kids a chance to perform short monologues (Shakespeare or another classic) at the beginning of the evening (or even take on minor roles in the play). Email us if your child wants to participate — we can help pick a selection or they can choose their own.
Dinner is potluck-style, served at intermission.
Roles are limited — sign up soon!
10 major roles and 15 minor roles are available
Not up for a speaking part? Join as audience (and dinner setup helper) — cheer and jeer as a member of the court and forest.
When you sign up, let us know if you'd like a major role, minor role, or to audience/help with food.
