The Common Room is a regular Anselm Society community gathering based on the “Scriptorium” events at Pusey House Oxford, and the older monastic tradition of setting aside special rooms for the copying of manuscripts.
This is an opportunity to set aside a day (or a significant portion of one) for study or creating, in the company of likeminded souls doing the same.
Whether you want to study, write, paint, or simply enjoy a quiet, dedicated space alongside fellow creatives, there is a spot for you.
You can bring your own lunch, your creative tools, and optionally a snack to share (or a $5 contribution for snacks).
Coffee and tea will be provided.
Schedule:
12:00 PM – Lunch, gathering, and connection
1:00 PM – Short prayer, followed by dedicated, quiet creative focus time
4:00 PM – 4:30 PM – Final sharing, project reflection, and closing prayer
