Anselm Book Discussion Dinner: Peace Like a River
Have you heard of the novel Peace Like a River? The bestselling book by Leif Enger is a favorite of many Anselm members and we're going to discuss it around a potluck dinner. We'd love for you to join us!
In case you need it, here's a description from Enger's website: "The story of a father raising his three children in 1960's Minnesota, Peace Like a River is at once a heroic quest, a tragedy, a love story, and a haunting meditation on the possibility of magic in the every day world."
If you can come, please sign up to bring something. The potluck theme is salad: chicken salad, fruit salad, pasta salad, spinach salad, etc. Or, you can bring some hearty bread or a dessert!
Let's make some "magic in the every day world"!
Are you new to the Anselm Society? Or maybe you'd just like an opportunity to learn more about it? Join us for the next Newcomers Dessert!
