Imagination Redeemed 2022:
A Call for Art

SIGHT + RECITE: ARTISTS, STORIES, & TIME

The Anselm Society announces a Call for Art for the 2022 Imagination Redeemed Gallery, which will run concurrently with the Society's 6th annual Imagination Redeemed Conference, slated for September 30-October 1, 2022, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

“Experiencing a variety of art forms cultivates our understanding of God's gift of imagination -- and ultimately of God Himself. That's why art is such an integral part of the Anselm Society and its annual Conference,” said Gallery Director Christa Issler. “This year, the conference gallery theme will be Sight + Recite: Artists, Stories, & Time. We want to highlight the storytelling role of the artist, focusing on imagery that enfleshes God's narratives about time or explore what we should do with God’s gift of time to us.”

Issler said the 2022 Imagination Redeemed Gallery would like to see stories God has given visual artists to put in visual form, especially stories that touch on the theme of time, whether that touches on our use of time or other more abstract expressions of time.

“What stories, historical or personal, has God given you share with others?” said Issler.

Emily Verdoorn, Desert (2019), Pen, pencil, India ink, watercolor, acrylic, marker, thread, and tea on paper, 8.5" x 11".

Entries will be selected for exhibition on the basis of creativity, technical execution, and narrative strength. Selected entries will be displayed during the 2022 Imagination Redeemed Conference, which will be held at Glen Eyrie Castle. Entries will also be curated into a digital exhibit and receive social media exposure.
